Modern Checkout at Expedia Group is a brand-agnostic checkout platform shared by Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo. This is the full stack seat on that team: you move between React and TypeScript on the front and Java microservices behind it, depending on what the work needs. The team handles the step where a chosen trip turns into a booking, so reliability and security matter more than usual.

What You'll Do
- 1Build frontend and backend capabilities for a checkout platform shared across brands
- 2Write production services and interfaces in Java, React and TypeScript
- 3Design, build, test and maintain distributed microservices and frontend applications
- 4Apply system design, API design and data modelling to full stack features
- 5Work with AWS or comparable cloud platforms, and with Kotlin services where needed
- 6Use AI-driven tools and workflows to improve engineering quality and speed
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on Java and React, including TypeScript in the React ecosystem
- Experience building or supporting microservices and distributed systems on AWS
- Able to own full stack features through development, testing, debugging and delivery
