About the Role
USP's Digital Product Engineering team needs a Data Scientist to build AI, ML and Generative AI solutions. The work includes RAG, prompt engineering and large language models, used on projects that support the safety of medicines worldwide.

USP is an independent scientific nonprofit that sets quality standards for medicines, dietary supplements and food ingredients. Its Hyderabad site has more than 380 staff.
What You'll Do
- 1Design, build and deploy AI/ML models, with a focus on Generative AI
- 2Work with data engineers to access, clean and prepare large datasets
- 3Run exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing and feature engineering
- 4Measure model performance and improve accuracy, robustness and fairness
- 5Explain findings clearly to product, engineering and business teams
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of experience in data science with a strong focus on AI, ML and deep learning
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or similar
- Hands-on with LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering and vector databases like FAISS or Pinecone
- Strong Python and PySpark, plus scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch or Hugging Face
- Strong SQL and experience with Power BI, Tableau or Plotly
