Technical Engineer - Problem Setter

As a Technical Engineer - Problem Setter at HackerEarth, you will be responsible for creating and testing programming problems for various hackathons and technical assessments. You will work closely with the tech documentation team to ensure clarity and accuracy in problem statements and solutions.

• 1Create new programming problems for hackathons and technical assessments.
• 2Test problems created by other problem setters.
• 3Review existing question bank for technical errors.
• 4Add code stubs to problems to help candidates focus on logic rather than syntax.
• 5Respond to queries and issues from candidates solving problems on the platform.
• 6Collaborate with the tech documentation team to remove ambiguities from questions.

• Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and mathematics.
• Strong profile on online judges (HackerEarth, HackerRank, Codeforces, Codechef, SPOJ, etc.).
• Experience in creating or testing problems for online judges is preferred.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
