About the Role
The Java Developer position at Leidos involves full-stack development supporting IRS Operations and Maintenance (O&M) projects. What You'll Do
- 1Develop Java microservices and APIs using Spring Boot framework
- 2Build responsive user interfaces with React, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
- 3Create and maintain full-stack applications for IRS systems
- 4Implement containerized deployments using OpenShift platform
- 5Work with databases including Oracle and MongoDB for data management
- 6Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for system integrations
- 7Participate in Agile development processes with cross-functional teams
- 8Write unit tests using JUnit and Mockito testing frameworks
- 9Maintain and modernize existing Java applications and systems
- 10Ensure compliance with government security and accessibility standards
- 11Collaborate on system architecture and design decisions
- 12Participate in code reviews and quality assurance processes
What We're Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Java development and Spring/Spring Boot frameworks
- Knowledge of frontend technologies including React, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization
- Familiarity with database systems (Oracle, MongoDB)
- Understanding of cloud platforms and container orchestration (OpenShift)
- Experience with build tools like Maven and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Ability to obtain government security clearance if required
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with government systems or regulated environments (preferred)
