About the Role
Numerade is seeking a Data Scientist Intern to join our mission. You will collaborate with partners across the company to leverage data for improving student and educator success. This role involves solving complex business problems using data, creating new datasets, and generating actionable insights using statistical and data visualization techniques.
What You'll Do

- 4Generate actionable insights using statistical and data visualization techniques
- 5Communicate results and impact to product and business stakeholders
- 6Turn models into data products in collaboration with engineering and business teams
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Python programming, with expertise in the Pandas library
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, and Redshift
- Proficiency in using JupyterLab/Jupyter notebooks
- Strong data visualization and presentation skills
- Ability to perform data analysis tasks, including writing SQL queries, data wrangling, and executing data visualization strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with AWS environment (Sagemaker, Lambda, Eventbridge, S3, EC2)
- Familiarity with A/B tests and experiment design
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and NLP methods is a plus
